My dad and sister got COVID

You might've seen my article yesterday on how my mother contracted COVID.

Well in a completely unforeseen turn of events, my dad and sister also returned positive test results today. And yet I remain negative.

It's a bit of a mystery, considering all three of us are double vaccinated, have had our booster shots (though my Appa only got his on Monday) and have had equivalent exposures to my Amma, who is the likely source of the COVID.

Who knows, perhaps by my Day 6 COVID test, I too will have contracted the illness.

I'm not particularly afraid of getting it considering I am young and healthy and have no risk factors for severe illness. I'm more concerned for my father who is immunosuppressed.

Anywho, there's not much we can do about it now.

Given that there's a huge number of cases in the state and it's the Christmas period, the COVID public health centres and hospitals are for sure understaffed, so hopefully this outbreak doesn't result in too many deaths...

And on that happy note, I wish you a Merry Christmas. Stay safe.
